Wine Release Archive - 2020 Primitivo

Winemaker Notes
Bing cherry, white pepper, and cola. Notably bold and concentrated with robust characteristics and terroir expressive captivating natural tones of anis, and tobacco, with layers of mineral earthiness and subtly rustic. Full-bodied with velvety supple less boisterous tannins. Flexible and friendly the 2020 Primitivo pairs well with food and is easily quaffable on its own.
Most popular in Puglia, Primitivo is a rugged dark-skinned grape that was only somewhat recently discovered to be genetically identical to American Zinfandel and is known for lots of dark fruit, lower acidity, and unintrusive tannins.
